Jung Centre Hong Kong
presents
Training seminar
Psychological
Interpretation of Fairytales
with
Dr. Shirley S. Y. Ma
Jungian Analyst
May 10, 2008
Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Carl G. Jung saw the unconscious (symbolized by the
ocean or forest) as the source of wisdom for both individuals and society. Myths and fairytales form the structure of the collective
unconscious whose symbols and images reveal the universal truth underlying
human behavior. The Hero in a fairytale
can teach us about the meaning of a mid-life crisis and its healing. The
psychological interpretation of fairytale is a valuable tool to access the
wisdom of the psyche for growth and development.
In this seminar, you will learn to interpret fairytales and discover their
psychological meaning. You will learn the basic concepts of Analytical
Psychology (e.g. persona, shadow, anima, animus, ego, Self etc.) founded by
Swiss psychiatrist Carl G. Jung (1875-1961). You will learn how the dynamics of
the psyche influence masculine and feminine development.
This
seminar is helpful for both therapist and client/patient in understanding and
clarifying current psychological problems and even finding potential solutions
to issues related to past trauma, depression,
work
and career, marriage and relationship, sexuality, spirituality and mid-life
challenges.
This seminar will be open
to practitioners in the helping professions, and also
educators, writers, artists and those who are interested in growth and creative transformation.
A
sequel to this seminar is scheduled for May 31, 2008.
